About Jake Evans

I’m a father, husband, neighbor, and member of the Neosho community.

In 2023, I began to attend City Council meetings to understand what was happening with city government. Over time, I grew more interested in public participation, transparency, and understanding how Neosho’s charter form of government actually works.

I created this website to help others who also want to understand the charter and code of ordinances in plain English, and to prepare to participate effectively in local government.

My goal is to share information in a nonpartisan way that helps more citizens feel confident, competent, and involved in civic life. I’m not affiliated with the city, and this site is not an official publication.
